[Staples]

675g/1½lb new potatoes

1 tablespoon sunflower oil

salt and freshly ground black pepper

1 sprig of fresh rosemary

1 clove garlic, unpeeled

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas mark 6.

  2. Put the potatoes on a large piece of greaseproof paper. Turn them lightly in the oil and season with salt and pepper.

  3. Add rosemary and garlic and wrap the potatoes in the grease proof paper. Sealing tightly so the steam does not escape.

  4. Bake in the oven for about 50 minutes, or until tender.
